Haydn was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer of Nextgen Group Holdings in September 2015. Haydn brings to the role a very strong background in Financial Management, Capital Management and Mergers and Acquisitions.
Haydn is a professionally qualified Executive with over 20 years of experience in financial, commercial and operational roles covering the telecommunications, energy, property and resources industries, both locally and abroad. Prior to joining Nextgen, Haydn was the CFO, Company Secretary and EGM – Corporate Services for a Caterpillar dealer – Energy Power Systems Australia (EPSA). In addition to the Financial responsibilities of a CFO, Haydn also led Supply Chain, IT, Legal, HR and Central Services within his portfolio. Previous to the role at EPSA, Haydn held the role as CFO of Babcock & Brown Capital Limited (ASX 200 company), which in 2006, made the A$8 billion (€4.8 billion) acquisition of eircom Limited, the incumbent Irish telco. As CFO, Haydn held Executive positions both in Australia and Ireland for the 5 years prior to the investment being sold in 2010. In that time, he was responsible for all finance, treasury and tax-related matters, which included the € 3.5 billion refinancing in late 2006, returning approximately A$500 million to Australian investors. In that time, Haydn was also a Board member and Chair of the Audit Committee for Golden Pages Israel, which was a further acquisition made by the company for $250 million in 2007.
Haydn has held Directorships in Australia, Ireland, Singapore, Israel and PNG and has held the role as CFO for 10 years.
