Nextgen Group’s ‘Point-to-Point Ethernet’ services offer premium performance Ethernet links with interstate and local coverage, suitable for carrier and corporate requirements.
We provide Ethernet over SDH (EoSDH) and high performance Switched Ethernet Service, with speeds ranging from small bandwidths of 2 megabit/s to dedicated wavelengths at 10 gigabit/s.
‘EoSDH’ is delivered using Nextgen Group’s synchronous digital hierarchy network, which provides dedicated bandwidth for uncompromising quality. ‘Switched Ethernet’ is delivered on our modern MPLS network, which delivers feature-rich and flexible services with premium performance.
Both our ‘EoSDH’ and ‘Switched Ethernet’ services are designed to meet the stringent requirements of high quality video conferencing and voice applications. Where transmission-grade services are required, our ‘EoSDH’ network offers inter-frame delay variation below 1 millisecond.
Nextgen Group offers a range of protection options to support your risk management requirements. Our core network has a fully redundant switching and transmission architecture. Our access network is unprotected by default, however Nextgen Group can tailor solutions to include geographic diversity.
Bandwidths are available from 2Mbit/s to 10Gbit/s. Our ‘Switched Ethernet’ solution is designed to work with a wide range of third party access providers to ensure that the best price-performance options are available to any site. Access options include fibre, DSL and microwave solutions.
Customers may wish to enhance their service and traffic management capabilities by implementing their own network overlay on our Ethernet services. Transparent VLAN carriage and Jumbo Frames are supported on both our ‘EoSDH’ and ‘Switched Ethernet’ services to facilitate this application.
Nextgen Group encourages the multiplexing of multiple ‘Switched Ethernet’ services onto a single physical interface with the advantages of reducing customer cable complexity and interface costs. This multiplexing also works with our multipoint VPLS and Internet services for even greater benefits.
Nextgen Group’s ‘Ethernet over SDH (EoSDH)’ is a carrier grade Ethernet service characterised by minimum frame transfer delay, minimum inter-frame delay variation, rapid protection, alarm propagation, jumbo frames and transparency to most protocols. Protection options are configurable up to and including complete geographic diversity, all within the Nextgen Group owned and operated fibre network.
Nextgen Group’s ‘Switched Ethernet’ is a cost effective, premium quality, point-to-point service delivered over protected national MPLS core network. It is characterised by low frame transfer delay and inter-frame delay variation with a wide range of access circuit options. Also included is the ability to support multiple services on a single physical interface, saving customer equipment costs.
Nextgen Group’s Ethernet services support a wide range of applications, including:
